The Koolatron KWC-4 Coca-Cola personal 6-Can fridge is another very miniature fridge which is most useful for storing a small selection of drinks. The fridge is more like an upright cooler in that respect, though it plugs in so you can keep it in a room rather than having to replace ice in it all of the time. Although this fridge can only fit up to six 12-oz cans, it is perfect for people who are pulling long hours studying or working and you want to stay hydrated while they do it. This portable mini fridge does keep your drinks very cold, even on hot days, so it gives you exactly what it promises. It’s also very affordable at about $50.00 USD on Amazon. The portable mini fridge also has a latching door handle so you can even lock your fridge if you want to keep other people out of it. The only real problem with this is that the door handle is known to break rather easily, so it’s best to be very careful with your unit in order to preserve your fridge’s lockable function.

Portable Mini Fridge for Drinks

The Koolatron KWC-4 is also a relatively disposable fridge at such a cheap price and with the door handle able to break easily. The motor for it also doesn’t seem to have a life beyond about 14-16 months. However, if all you’re looking for is a way to keep your drinks cool, then this is a good investment for your room or office. It doesn’t do food as well as other mini fridges, mainly because a lot of people find that it doesn’t get as cold as advertised, so there are fears that things such as dairy products (mayonnaise and cheese) as well as perishable meats like tuna could go bad quickly.

This portable mini fridge is best used as a way to hold drinks to tide you over if you’re going to be working late in an office or room or as a place to store a few drinks in your garage or shop.

Igloo FR180 Stainless Steel – Review

The Igloo FR180 1.7-Cu-Ft portable mini fridge is a good buy for any room where you want a small fridge, such as a recreational room, garage, shop, or dorm room. The fridge is large enough to fit two liter bottles of liquid, such as pop and juice, but small enough to be able to be moved into any room. The fridge has a very simple, but sleek design, with a stainless steel door and a black roof and sides. It also comes with an ice cube tray.

The Igloo FR180 has an adjustable thermostat so you can make your fridge as cold as you feel it needs to be in order to store your food. The only problem with the thermostat is that the dials are not well marked, so you have to do some trial and error in order to discover which dial does what, and they are far in the back, making them a bit difficult to reach. The Igloo FR180 also doesn’t come with an owner’s manual (at least if you buy through wholesalers such as Amazon) so you will have to do some testing.

Can Store Quite a Bit

This is very much a mini fridge; don’t expect to be able to store much more than drinks and snacks in it; however, it is bigger on the inside than it is on the outside and so can store quite a bit considering how little space it takes up. It’s also very affordable; under $100 USD on Amazon which makes it even more of a temptation to purchase.

The only real complaint users have had is that it gets too cold at times; that is, for some users, the wiring in the back would get rings of ice around it! Although the company guarantees that this won’t actually damage the unit, it can create a bit of a mess and a scare if you aren’t aware of this problem. All in all though, this is a good unit to purchase for yourself, your family, or as a gift.

It’s ideal for holding drinks and snacks, with the ability to get very cold to keep things chilly and can even be programmed to be warmer so that you can keep things like some foods warm until you’re ready to eat them. This portable mini fridge is also lightweight and easy to put in any room in the house, dorm or in your office. Plus you’ll get a lot of compliments on how cool your fridge looks! Its main usefulness is that you can store drinks in it so you don’t have to go to a vending machine or clog up your main fridge with junk food.

Has to be Turned Off After 48 Hours

This mini fridge though is not very large on the inside; it can only hold a couple of 2-liter bottles or a six pack or two of cans of pop which makes it a bit awkward to use if you want to store things for a party, for example. The fridge is also very much disposable; it’s under $100 for a reason, and that is that according to a lot of users, it tends to break down after just six months or so and since the warranty is only for ninety days, you’re left with a piece of metal colored and shaped like a pop can. Other problems include the fact that it has to be turned off for an hour after being turned on for 48 hours and there were some fears that the wiring got too hot and became a fire hazard.
